    IntercontinentalExchange (NYSE: ICE), the leading electronic energy marketplace and soft commodity exchange, announced that ICE Futures Europe posted a daily volume record and an open interest record in its benchmark gas oil futures contract on September 6. The ICE Gas Oil futures contract set a new high of 173,843 contracts, surpassing by 11.6% the previous record established on May 9, 2007, of 155,757 contracts. Open interest also reached a record high of 361,198 contracts.
