  • Standard & Poor's Announces Changes In S&P/TSX Canadian Indices

    Standard & Poor's Canadian Index Operations announces the following index changes: The shareholders of Rally Energy Corp. (TSX:RAL) have accepted the $CDN7.30 per share cash offer from Citadel Capital Company and National Petroleum Company S.A.E. Rally Energy will be removed from the S&P/TSX SmallCap and Equity SmallCap indices after the close on Friday, September 21, 2007.

    New York Stock Exchange member firms that conduct business with the public reported second-quarter 2007 after-tax profits of $2.75 billion and revenues of $95.24 billion, compared with $2.948 billion in after-tax profits on revenues of $78.635 billion in the second quarter of 2006. For the first six months of 2007, the firms reported after-tax profits of $5.781 billion on revenues of $185.075 billion, compared with after-tax profits of $6.026 billion on revenues of $156.198 billion in the firs
