Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) today announced that it will be hosting a Corporate Risk Management Forum which will attract experts from the region to share their views on Corporate Risk Management. The conference will take place on Wednesday 7th November at the DIFC Conference Centre, with an impressive line-up of speakers from specialist companies including Qatar Gas, Oman Insurance and Heritage Group.

DIFC Governor Hosts Calyon Board Members

His Excellency Dr. Omar Bin Sulaiman, Governor of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) yesterday welcomed the Board of Directors of Calyon, the corporate and investment banking division of Crédit Agricole, to the region. The visit follows the recent opening of Calyon’s DIFC office from where it aims to significantly build on its regional business, open additional offices and expand its investment banking and capital markets services across the region.

Total capital raised on NZX Markets has passed $4.5 billion, already ahead of the $4.2 billion total raised in 2006 with two months still remaining in the year.

Association Of National Numbering Agencies (ANNA) Officially Adopts China’s ISIN Codes

According to the resolution of the Association of National Numbering Agencies’ 2006 annual meeting, China Finance Standardization Technical Committee Securities Sub-Committee (CFSTCSSC), upon its recent entry into the ANNA as the Chinese representative, will be in charge of allocating the International Securities Identification Numbers (ISIN) within the Chinese territory.

NZX Operating Metrics - October 2007

Highlights The NZX 50 ended the month on 4,209, up 11% since October last year and 4% year to date. There was $1.106 billion of debt and $299 million of equity raised in October. Total capital raised on NZX Markets year to date reached $4.459 billion in October. Number of trades on the NZDX market were up 58% in October at 2,991 and value traded was up 66% at $142 million.
