Clearstream’s Activity Figures For January 2008 Core Business Figures With New Statistical Reporting Methods

In January 2.91 million international transactions were processed, a slight decrease of 1 percent over January 2007 (2.95 million). Of these transactions, 64 percent were Over the Counter (OTC) transactions and 36 percent were registered as stock exchange transactions.

CME Group Announces Increased Limits In Wheat Futures And Options

CME Group, the world's largest and most diverse exchange, today announced that, effective February 12, pending CFTC approval, daily price limits in Wheat futures and options contracts as well as Mini-sized Wheat futures contracts will be increased from $0.30 per bushel to $0.40 per bushel.
MGEX Price Limit Announcement - Spot Month Price Limits To Be Removed

The Minneapolis Grain Exchange has submitted to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) a proposal to remove price limits on the spot Hard Red Spring Wheat futures contract month commencing the first business day after expiration of non-serial options on the spot month. Upon CFTC approval, this will be effective with the February 25, 2008 trade day which commences with evening trading on February 24 for the March 2008 Hard Red Spring Wheat futures contract.

The Kansas City Board of Trade’s Board of Directors approved increasing the daily price limit for the hard red winter wheat futures and options contracts from 30 cents to 40 cents at a special meeting held today.
