    There was a net inflow of foreign investment to the Brazilian stock market of BRL 8,961,674,978.30 through May 9. This figure includes purchases of international investors in the public offerings, which amounted to BRL 5,019,927,049.30, and the net trading value at BOVESPA, which has also registered an inflow of BRL 2,373,104,131.00.

    Chicago Climate Exchange, Inc. (CCX®) announced yesterday that it reached a new record with 36,626 Carbon Financial Instrument® (CFI®) contracts traded (representing 3,662,600 metric tons of CO2 equivalent), making May 13, 2008 the highest trading day in the history of CCX.
