Dubai Financial Services Authority Grants CME Group Recognition For CBOT Products - Approval Enables Direct Access By Market Participants Within DIFC To CBOT Products On CME Globex(R)

CME Group, the world's largest and most diverse derivatives exchange, announced today that the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) has granted CME Group the status of a Recognized Body within the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) for all CBOT products. The DFSA is the independent, integrated regulatory authority responsible for the regulation of all financial and ancillary services conducted in or from the DIFC.

Hellenic Exchanges (HELEX) H1 2008 Financial Results.

The consolidated net after tax profits of HELEX in H1 2008 amounted to euro 35.7m vs. euro 40.2m in H1 2007, reduced by 11%. The consolidated turnover of the Group was reduced by 12% to euro 63.2m vs. euro 72.1m in H1 2007.

Based on the close of trading on July 28, the global Dow Jones Islamic Market Titans 100 Index, which measures the performance of 100 of the leading Shari’ah compliant stocks globally, lost -4.43% month-to-date, closing at 2276.21. In comparison, the Dow Jones Global Titans 50 Index, which measures the 50 biggest companies worldwide, posted a loss of -2.94%, closing at 197.40.

Frontier Markets Join FTSE’s Global Equity Index Series

Building on the success of its internationally acclaimed approach to equity indexing, FTSE Group (“FTSE”) has extended its Global Equity Index Series (“GEIS”) to include coverage of the Frontier markets, alongside its existing Developed and Emerging market indices. The FTSE Frontier 50, a new index which begins calculating today, is FTSE’s first index to be created from an eligible universe of 23 new frontier markets. Further regional and country indices for frontier markets will be launched
