In September, 2008, Dalian Futures Exchange traded 58 million contracts with turnover of RMB 2.6 trillion, increasing 13.74% and 55.4% as compared with the previous period, among which No.1 soybean, No. 2 soybean, corn, polyethylene, soybean meal, palm oil and soyoil were traded 22 million, 7,630, 5.6 million, 1.6 million, 1.9 million and 10.2 million contracts respectively.

FORTS Quarterly Trading Results: III Quarter 2008

For the period from July 01st, 2008 to September 30th, 2008 the trading volume on FORTS, RTS derivatives section, reached 3 408,1 bln. roubles or 71,4 mln. contracts, including 292,8 bln. roubles during the evening trading session. As of the end of the reviewed period the open interest stood at 128,0 bln. roubles or 2,7 mln. contracts.
