TMX Group Inc. (“TMX Group”) announced today that it has agreed to purchase for cancellation 500,000 of its outstanding common shares, or approximately 0.7% of the common shares outstanding at February 10, 2009, pursuant to a private agreement between TMX Group and an arm’s-length third party seller (the “Private Purchase”) for an aggregate purchase price of $15,730,000. The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) today settled charges against Michael Moster for submitting false reports to the Bank of America in Chicago, where he once worked as a trader, and ordered Moster to pay a $360,000 civil penalty.

SEC Charges KBR And Halliburton For FCPA Violations

The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced settlements with KBR, Inc. and Halliburton Co. to resolve SEC charges that KBR subsidiary Kellogg Brown & Root LLC bribed Nigerian government officials over a 10-year period, in violation of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), in order to obtain construction contracts. The SEC also charged that KBR and Halliburton, KBR's former parent company, engaged in books and records violations and internal controls violations related to the bribe
