Autorité Des Marchés Financiers Working Group On Alternext: Public Consultation On The Possibility For Euronext Companies To Transfer To Alternext

The Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) submitted the recommendations of its Alternext working group for public consultation on 6 October 2008. Chaired by Jean-Pierre Pinatton, the group was charged with studying: the trade-off between flexibility and guarantees under the Alternext rules; ways for Alternext to raise its international profile; the conditions for smooth transition from one trading platform to another.

ICE and ICAP Announce Successful Completion Of First-Ever Agricultural Cleared Swap Transaction

IntercontinentalExchange, Inc. (NYSE: ICE), a leading operator of global futures and over-the-counter (OTC) marketplaces and clearing houses, and ICAP (IAP.L), the world's premier interdealer broker, announced the successful execution through ICE Clear U.S.(TM) of the first agricultural cleared swap transaction in the history of U.S. exchanges. The OTC sugar swap transaction was submitted to the clearinghouse by ICAP, on behalf of Infinium Capital Management and Credit Suisse.
