ASX Monthly Activity Report - May 2008 - Including Fee And Rebate Scheme Changes For FY09
May 2008 was a month of lower activity levels across equities (by value) and derivatives markets compared to the previous corresponding period (pcp) on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), despite overall cash market trading volumes continuing to increase. Throughout the month ASX systems – including trading, clearing and settlement, and company announcements – operated normally.

James P. Donovan Named FINRA Senior Executive Vice President - Industry Veteran Responsible For Strategy, Technology, Registration And Disclosure and More
The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) today announced the appointment of James P. Donovan as Senior Executive Vice President for Technology and Strategy. In addition to overseeing FINRA's corporate technology and strategy, Donovan is also responsible for registration and disclosure, market transparency facilities, member relations and FINRA's international program.

NSX Releases May ETF/ETN Data Report
National Stock ExchangeSM(NSX®) today announced that U.S. listed Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) and Exchange-Traded Note (ETN) assets reached $623.6 billion at the end of May 2008, an increase of 25 percent over $498.6 billion at May 2007 month-end.

ISE Introduces Flash Functionality For Options Exchange - New Auction Enhances Quality Of Customer Order Execution
The International Securities Exchange (ISE) announced today that its options exchange now offers Flash functionality, a feature that enhances the execution quality of eligible customer orders. Customer orders otherwise subject to Linkage will now be auctioned to the entire ISE member community for up to one second. The Flash auction provides these orders with the opportunity for price improvement and for faster execution than if they were routed through Linkage.

Urbana Corporation Pleased With Chicago Board Options Exchange Settlement
Yesterday, the Chicago Board Options Exchange ('CBOE') announced that it has reached a settlement with the plaintiffs in a class action suit launched by the former members of the Chicago Board of Trade. This suit had been the major impediment to the CBOE management's plan to demutualize and launch an Initial Public Offering ('IPO'). The settlement is subject to court approval and a CBOE member vote. The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced the list of panelists scheduled to participate in the International Roundtable on Interactive Data for Public Financial Reporting scheduled for June 10, 2008, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The Roundtable follows the issuance on May 30, 2008, of a proposed rule on Interactive Data to Improve Financial Reporting.
