In May, €96.4 billion were turned over on Xetra and on the floor at Börse Frankfurt – a decrease of some 36 percent year-on-year (May 2008: €151.7 billion). Of the €96.4 billion turnover €89.8 billion were traded on Xetra, a decrease by some 38 percent year-on-year (May 2008: €144.8 billion) and €6.6 billion on the floor (May 2008: €6.9 billion).

At the international derivatives markets of Eurex an average daily volume of 11.8 million contracts was traded in May (May 2008: 12.8 million) – a decrease by roughly 8 percent.
