SEC: Fee Rate Advisory #2 For Fiscal Year 2011

When fiscal year 2011 starts on Oct. 1, 2010, the Securities and Exchange Commission expects to be operating under a continuing resolution that will extend through Dec. 3, 2010. During this period, fees paid under Section 6(b) of the Securities Act of 1933 and Sections 13(e), 14(g) and 31 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 will remain at their current rates.

UK's Financial Services Authority Bans Partner At First Colonial Investments LLP For Governance Failings

The Financial Services Authority (FSA) has banned Gerald Classey, a partner at First Colonial Investments LLP (FCI), for several failings, including failing to exercise proper oversight of the stock-broking business of the firm and not telling the FSA about previous convictions.

Irish Stock Exchange Adopts New Rules In Relation To Corporate Governance - Irish Listed Companies Required To Comply Or Explain Against The UK Corporate Governance Code - Additional Corporate Governance Provisions To Apply To Irish Listed Companies

The ISE is to require Irish listed companies to comply or explain against the provisions of the UK Corporate Governance Code. Additional corporate governance provisions arising from the recommendations contained in the report on Compliance with the Combined Code on Corporate Governance by Irish listed companies (“the ISE/IAIM Commissioned Report”)1 will come into force later this year. The Kansas City Board of Trade’s Board of Directors yesterday approved the addition of a post settlement session for the KCBT’s hard red winter wheat options contract and voted to amend the open outcry trading closing time to 1:15 p.m. CT.
