Chi-X Japan Passes ¥50 Billion Monthly Turnover Milestone - Four Months After Launch, Chi-X Japan Has 11 Broker-Dealer Trading Participants On Its Platform With Additional Participants Pending

Chi-X Japan Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of alternative trading venue operator Chi-X Global, today announced that turnover on its platform reached ¥50.2 billion in November, more than five times October’s turnover of ¥9.6 billion and well ahead of September’s ¥2.5 billion. Additionally, for the month of November, 98.3 million shares were traded on Chi-X Japan.

The Kansas City Board of Trade set a new exchange trading volume record for the month of November as a total of 624,481 contracts were traded, breaking the previous record of 472,244 set in 2005 by 32.2 percent.
