New Appointments To The Supervisory Boards At The Stuttgart Stock Exchange - Dr Christian Holzherr Appointed As New Member

Dr Christian Holzherr, Management Board Member and Chief Financial Officer at Celesio AG, has been appointed to the Supervisory Boards of Boerse Stuttgart Holding GmbH, Boerse Stuttgart AG and EUWAX AG. The instatement of Dr Holzherr, an academically trained business engineer, completes the appointments to the Supervisory Boards. Dr Christian Holzherr has served Celesio AG since 2008 and was previously a Member of the Board of Management and Chief Financial Officer at EnBW AG.

SWIFT Sharia Compliant For Murabaha - AAOIFI Certification Enables The Automated Processing Of Murabaha Treasury Transactions

SWIFT today announced that ISO 15022 message standards for the processing of treasury Murabaha transactions have been certified compliant with the international Islamic finance standards issued by AAOIFI (Accounting and Auditing Organisation for Islamic Financial Institutions). This certification paves the way towards the automated processing of Murabaha treasury transactions, which reportedly represent 60% of all Islamic financing.

European Parliament: New Financial Market Supervision System Signed Into Law

The President of the European Parliament, Jerzy Buzek, and Belgium's State Secretary for European Affairs, Olivier Chastel, on Wednesday formally signed into law the financial supervision package, which will establish new authorities oversee the operation of banks, securities markets and insurance companies, as well as monitoring the build up of risk in the economic system as a whole.

HKEx Website To Carry Exchange Rates For Calculation Of Stamp Duty And Other Trading-Related Fees On RMB And USD Transactions In HKEx’s Securities Market

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) will publish information about the exchange rates for Hong Kong dollars (HKD) against renminbi (RMB)* and US dollars (USD) on its website commencing from 29 November 2010 for calculation of stamp duty and other trading-related fees, including transaction levy, investor compensation levy (currently exempted) and trading fee, on transactions in the respective currencies in its securities market.

UK's Financial Services Authority Charges Five Individuals With Insider Dealing

Five individuals, including two former directors and one former senior trader of Blue Index Limited (Blue Index), a specialist Contract for Difference (CFD) brokerage, have been charged by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) with 17 counts of insider dealing, contrary to section 52 of the Criminal Justice Act 1993.
