FTSE Group (“FTSE”) confirms today that, global investment management group, Aberdeen Asset Management, and global leader in speciality chemicals, Croda International, will be joining the FTSE 100 Index. In the rebalance, Cairn Energy and Essar Energy will leave the UK’s leading index and enter the FTSE 250 Index.

Hong Kong's Securities And Futures Commission: Former Styland’s Chairman And Executive Director Ordered To Pay $85 Million Compensation To Company

The Court of First Instance today ordered the founder and former chairman of Styland Holdings Ltd (Styland) , Mr Kenneth Cheung Chi Shing, and his wife Ms Yvonne Yeung Han Yi, a former executive director of Styland, to pay compensation totalling over $85 million to the company for their misconduct (Note 1 and 2).

The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) is publishing a weekly email containing simple, easy-to-read tables listing credit default swaps (CDS) contracts on the top 15 sovereign and corporate reference entities by net notional amount as well as the Top 10 volume movers, both corporate and sovereign, by percentage change based on the net notional amount registered in its Trade Information Warehouse for the week ending March 2, 2012, along with historical data.

SIX Swiss Exchange And Scoach Switzerland: Trading Turnover Rises In February 2012

As the latest statistical monthly report[PDF] shows, trading volumes on SIX Swiss Exchange and Scoach Switzerland rose once again in February 2012. All segments combined posted growth of 12.2% on the previous month, reaching CHF 88'885 million. January 2012 had already seen double digit growth. While equities, including funds + ETSFs + ETPs, recorded gains of 14.7% (to CHF 58'093 million) and ETFs were up by 18.6% (to CHF 7'630 million), turnover in the CHF bonds segment rose by 6.0% (to CHF 19'039 million); only structured products and warrants were down by -10.2% (to CHF 2'999 million).
