Allianz Global Investors Joins SIX Swiss Exchange As New ETF Issuer

Today, SIX welcomes Allianz Global Investors as a new issuer of Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs). The global asset manager is expanding investors’ access to actively managed exchange-traded funds at SIX Swiss Exchange with the listing of four ETFs, reflecting three active equity strategies, one of which is available in two trading currencies.

THE GLOBAL derivatives market has entered a new era, and the United States is leading it. For decades, derivatives—financial contracts such as futures, options and swaps, whose value is based on the price or performance of an underlying asset—have served as a tool for businesses, farmers, investors and financial institutions to manage risk and allocate capital efficiently. What was once a niche financial tool now underpins a market with over $1.2 quadrillion (million billion) in notional value. Nearly half of that market falls under the jurisdiction of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), which I have led since December.

Nodal Exchange Achieves New Records In Power And Environmental Markets In July

Nodal Exchange today announced strong performance in power, natural gas, and environmental markets. Nodal achieved a calendar month record for July with power futures volume of 198.5 TWh, up 4% from July 2025. The majority of U.S. power futures open interest is on Nodal Exchange with 1.475 billion MWh representing $173 billion of notional value based on both sides as of the end of July 2026.
