  • ACER: More Than One Million Data Records Received. Remit Data Reporting Progressing Well Since 7 October

    Data reporting under the EU Regulation on wholesale energy market integrity and transparency (REMIT) started on Wednesday 7 October and ACER has successfully started collecting data for the market monitoring of EU wholesale energy markets. Since then, the Agency received more than one million records of transactions of wholesale energy market contracts, including orders to trade, executed at organised market places. 29 Registered Reporting Mechanisms (RRMs) have been actively submitting records. In the course of this week three new third party RRMs finalised their registration process and could start to report.

  • TheCityUK's London Employment Survey 2015

    TheCityUK’s newly expanded London Employment Survey, released today, reveals that jobs in the capital’s financial and related professional services industry have reached an all-time high – 729,600 as of June 2015. The 2.2% increase in the first half of the year (H1) has been largely driven by strong growth (3.8%) in the professional services sector. TheCityUK expects this upward trend to continue to the end of 2015, forecasting an additional 7,300 jobs across the industry in H2 and a full-year rise in employment of 3.2%.
