Thank you, Eric; thank you to the Fed staff who have organized this second annual financial inclusion conference; and thank you all for being here.
I have long believed that financial inclusion is a crucial component of a safe and fair financial system. Working to improve financial inclusion has been an important part of my career, starting in 1995 when I joined the Treasury Department and worked with colleagues to build Community Development Financial Institutions, strengthen the Community Reinvestment Act, and launch the New Markets initiative. At the University of Michigan, financial inclusion was key to programs I worked on to support minority entrepreneurship.

Canadian Securities Administrators Consults On Proposed Process Refinements And Oversight For A Dispute Resolution Service For Investor Complaints

The Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) has provided for comment more details on the proposed framework for an independent dispute resolution service with binding authority – anticipated to be the Ombudsman for Banking Services and Investments (OBSI). The consultation includes a proposed oversight model for OBSI and refinements on the review and decision stage of the dispute resolution process.

CalPERS announced a new pharmacy benefits contract with CVS Caremark (CVS) today that is designed to address rising costs of prescriptions while ensuring access to safe and effective medications for members. The five-year contract includes new financial terms with CVS putting $250 million at-risk over the term of the contract for controlling drug costs and improving the health of CalPERS members.

SET To Escalate Market Surveillance Measure On DV8 To Level 2, Additionally Implementing Net Settlement Prohibition And Auction Matching Method

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) will escalate the market surveillance measure imposed on securities of DV8 pcl (DV8) from level 1 to level 2, from July 16, 2025 to August 5, 2025. In addition to restrictions currently imposed under Level 1, trading of DV8 securities will be limited to auction matching method during the specified period.
