The Financial Stability Board (FSB) is publishing today its discussion note onEssential Aspects of CCP Resolution Planning, which seeks comment on aspects of central counterparty (CCP) resolution that are considered core to the design of effective resolution strategies. The FSB is also publishing today, jointly with the Basel Committee, Committee on Payments and infrastructures (CPMI) and International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO), a progress report on the workplan to enhance the resilience, recovery planning and resolvability of CCPs.

Joint Announcement Of The China Securities Regulatory Commission And Hong Kong's Securities And Futures Commission

To promote the development of capital markets in both the Mainland and Hong Kong, the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) and the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) have approved, in principle, the establishment of mutual stock market access between Shenzhen and Hong Kong (Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect). Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect will be established by the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE), The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (SEHK), China Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation Limited (ChinaClear) and Hong Kong Securities Clearing Company Limited (HKSCC).

Quayle Munro is pleased to announce that it has advised PIRA Energy Group (“PIRA”), a leader in global energy market analysis, on its sale to S&P Global Platts. The purchase extends S&P Global Platts' energy analytical capabilities by enhancing the Company's oil offering and strengthening its position in the natural gas and power markets. The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to close in the third quarter of 2016. Financial terms were not disclosed.
