I congratulate Dan on his long and fruitful career at the National Futures Association (NFA). Dan and I started our careers in finance around the same time – he in 1983 as an attorney at NFA, and me in 1982 as a lawyer in a Wall Street firm. Needless to say, we have seen many financial ups and downs during this time, and Dan has been working with NFA to protect the markets during a variety of major events, including the 2008 financial crisis.

The European Financial Stability Facility (EFSF) on Monday raised €5 billion in a dual-tranche transaction, issuing a new 10-year and a new 31-year bond.

It has been a privilege to work closely with Dan Roth throughout my time as Chairman of the CFTC. We have forged an excellent relationship over the past two years, one which I have very much enjoyed. The NFA plays an important role in the markets that the CFTC regulates, and Dan’s knowledge, experience, and commitment to collaboration have been of tremendous value to our work and to me personally. I look forward to continuing to work together as the NFA searches for his replacement over the coming months.

CBOE Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: CBOE) and Eris Exchange, LLC (Eris) announced today that CBOE Holdings has made a minority equity investment in its parent, Eris Exchange Holdings, LLC. Eris is a U.S.-based futures exchange group offering swap futures as a capital-efficient alternative to over-the-counter (OTC) swaps. Concurrent with this investment, CBOE will join Eris' board of directors.

Today, Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. (TSE) approved the listing of new ETF managed by “DIAM Co., Ltd.”. The ETF will be listed on Friday, June 10, 2016.

New Management Board: Christoph Boschan Presented As CEO At Vienna Stock Exchange

At today’s extraordinary meeting, the Supervisory Board reached a decision on the management boards for Wiener Börse AG and CEESEG AG. Christoph Boschan (38), currently joint-CEO at Börse Stuttgart GmbH and board member at EUWAX AG, was presented as designated Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The stock exchange expert previously spent 10 years working in leading positions at several German stock exchanges. Petr Koblic (45), CEO of the Prague Stock Exchange, was named Chief Financial Officer (CFO). In his joint role as Chief Operating and Technology Officer (COO/CTO) Ludwig Nießen (58) will be responsible for operations and IT. The new team succeeds the current Management Board members of the Vienna Stock Exchange, Birgit Kuras and Michael Buhl.
