The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) is hosting the forth Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) exchange CEOs summit called “GMS Focus” in Bangkok. The unique platform convenes CEOs of five stock exchanges in the GMS namely Cambodia, Hanoi, Hochiminh, Laos and Thailand, alongside high-level market regulators and institutional investors to continuously create close collaboration among GMS exchanges. This year the summit focuses on strengthening investor base diversification to create liquidity, aiming to enhance regional growth among GMS exchanges.

EEX: 2016 Volume In Dairy Futures Exceeds 50,000 Tonnes

Last Friday, the trading volume on the EEX Derivatives Market for dairy products exceeded the threshold of 50,000 tonnes of goods equivalent for the first time. From 1 January until 26 August 2016, a total of 10,026 contracts were traded in this segment, corresponding to an equivalent of 50,130 tonnes.

European Commission - State Aid: Ireland Gave Illegal Tax Benefits To Apple Worth Up To €13 Billion

The European Commission has concluded that Ireland granted undue tax benefits of up to €13 billion to Apple. This is illegal under EU state aid rules, because it allowed Apple to pay substantially less tax than other businesses. Ireland must now recover the illegal aid.
