Moscow Exchange Increases Tick Size For FX Instruments

From 30 May 2016, the Moscow Exchange is increasing the tick size from RUB 0.0010 to RUB 0.0025 for FX spot instruments on USD/RUB, EUR/RUB, GBP/RUB, BYR/RUB, KZT/RUB and UAH/RUB.

Hong Kong's Securities And Futures Commission Bans Andrew Chow Ho Cheung For Life

The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has prohibited Mr Andrew Chow Ho Cheung from re-entering the industry for life following his conviction for offences of fraud and theft under the Theft Ordinance. Chow was sentenced to two years imprisonment by the District Court on 19 May 2015.

As part of its drive to enhance the positioning of Kenya as a premier investment destination, the Capital Markets Authority (CMA) has launched international certification standards for practitioners in the capital markets industry. The launch is the product of the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) in September 2014.

On April 15 trading commenced on XBTR, the bilateral trading platform for structured products from SIX Swiss Exchange. The two participants of the platform, Leonteq and Credit Suisse became the first ones to also profit in OTC trading of structured products from the benefits of the infrastructure of SIX.
