STOXX Monthly Index News: Southern Europe Recovered In October

The presidential election in the US lead to more uncertainty in October and affected especially industry sectors that are depending on future decisions on laws and regulations under the new presidency – for example the health care sector. Southern Europe has also been affected by political events. For example, the formation of a new government in Spain and the robust economic growth supported the country’s equity market. Together with Greece and Italy, Spain has been the top performer.

Millennium Exchange Release 9.1 Oslo Børs – Go-Live Postponement

Oslo Børs regrets to inform that the previously announced go-live of Millennium 9.1 Oslo Børs (January 28 2017) will be postponed to allow for additional testing. The announced dress rehearsal of December 3rd will be cancelled, and the first dress rehearsal will be moved to after Christmas change freeze. New dates for dress rehearsals and go-live will be announced in December.

ESMA Consults On Transparency Rules For Package Orders Under MiFID II

The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has opened today a public consultation on draft regulatory technical standards (RTS) regarding the treatment of package orders under the amended Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID II) and Regulation (MiFIR). Overall, MiFID II aims at increasing market integrity, transparency and efficiency. 

Changes To The Composition Of The Oslo Børs Benchmark Index (OSEBX)
