Japan's Securities And Exchange Surveillance Commission Recommendation For Administrative Action based On Findings Of The Inspection Of Deutsche Securities Inc.
1. Contents of the recommendation
Pursuant to Article 20, paragraph (1) of the Act for the Establishment of the Financial Services Agency (FSA), the Securities and Exchange Surveillance Commission (SESC) issued today a recommendation that the Prime Minister and the Commissioner of the FSA take administrative action against Deutsche Securities Inc.* (hereinafter referred to as "the Company"). This recommendation is based on the findings of the inspection of the Company, whereby the following violations by the Company of the law and the ordinance described in 2 below were identified.

Hong Kong's Securities And Futures Commission: Court Dismisses Appeal By A Substantial Shareholder Against Convictions For Failing To Make Disclosure Of Interests
The Court of First Instance has dismissed an appeal by Mr Lam Fai Man, a substantial shareholder of Victory Group Limited (Victory), against his convictions for failing to disclose to Victory changes in his interests in the shares of Victory, as required by the Securities and Futures Ordinance.

UK’s Financial Conduct Authority Sees Improvements In Suitability At Wealth Managers, But Concerns Remain
Wealth managers and private banks have made progress in demonstrating the suitability of their clients’ portfolios, a thematic review by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has found. However, some firms need to make substantial improvements in client information practices as well as ensuring the portfolios they manage truly reflect the needs and risk appetite of their customers. The FCA will be following up on these issues with these firms.

HKEx's Derivatives Market Growth Strongly Supported By Overseas Investors And Exchange Participants
Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited's (HKEx) Derivatives Market Transaction Survey 2014/15 (covering July 2014 to June 2015) found that derivatives trading by overseas investors (mainly institutions) and Exchange Participants (EPs) had compound annual growth rates (CAGRs) of 22 per cent and 21 per cent respectively in the past decade, strongly supporting overall derivatives market growth and contributing to record volume.
