The Securities And Commodities Authority Imposes AED 1.15 Million Fines On Non-Compliant Companies To Enhance Financial Market Integrity

The Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) has taken stringent measures against several companies for violating regulations and non-compliance with anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing (AML/CFT) rules. The SCA announced a series of financial penalties against those companies totalling AED 1.15 million since the beginning of January 2025. This includes fines imposed on companies and investors for breaching regulations amounted to approximately AED 650,000; in addition to AED 500,000 were levied on other companies for failing to comply with AML/CFT provisions and promoting activities outside the scope of their SCA-granted licenses.

The Dubai Financial Services Authority Appoints Mark Steward As New Chief Executive

The Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA), the financial services regulator of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Steward as Chief Executive, effective 19 May 2025 for a term of three years. Mark will also become a member of the DFSA Board of Directors effective 19 May 2025. Mark succeeds the DFSA’s Chief Executive Ian Johnston who will step down from his role following two successful stints as the DFSA’s Chief Executive.

Dalian Commodity Exchange: Notice On Adjustments To Price Limits And Trading Margins On EG And Other Futures

According to the Measures for Risk Management of Dalian Commodity Exchange, it is decided upon discussion that from the settlement on February 26 (Wednesday), 2025, the price limits of EG, EB and LPG futures will be adjusted from 7% to 6%, the trading margins will be adjusted from 8% to 7%.

Nasdaq, Inc. Announces Early Results Of Cash Tender Offers For Up To $218 Million Outstanding Debt Securities

Nasdaq, Inc. (Nasdaq: NDAQ) (“Nasdaq” or the “Company”) announced today the early results of its previously announced offers to purchase for cash up to an aggregate principal amount of $218,053,000 (the “Aggregate Notes Cap”) (reflecting an $18,053,000 increase from the previously announced cap of $200,000,000) of its outstanding Notes, comprised of (i) up to $41,360,000 aggregate principal amount (the “2028 Notes Cap”) of the Company’s 5.350% Senior Notes due 2028 (the “2028 Notes”), (ii) up to $57,583,000 aggregate principal amount (the “2034 Notes Cap”) of the Company’s 5.550% Senior Notes due 2034 (the “2034 Notes”) and (iii) up to $119,110,000 aggregate principal amount (the “2052 Notes Cap”) of the Company’s 3.950% Senior Notes due 2052 (the “2052 Notes”). The 2028 Notes, the 2034 Notes and the 2052 Notes are referred to collectively herein as the “Notes,” such offers to purchase are referred to collectively herein as the “Tender Offers” and each a “Tender Offer,” and the 2028 Notes Cap, the 2034 Notes Cap and the 2052 Notes Cap are referred to collectively herein as the “Series Notes Caps” and each a “Series Notes Cap.” The Tender Offers are being made upon the terms and subject to conditions described in the Offer to Purchase, dated February 10, 2025 (as it may be amended or supplemented from time to time, the “Offer to Purchase”), which sets forth a detailed description of the Tender Offers.
