The Vienna Stock Exchange welcomes the commitment of the Minister of Finance Hartwig Löger to make trading of bearer shares of Austrian companies on the Third Market possible again. The government is thus putting an end to a long-standing obstacle and giving Austrian medium-sized companies access to the capital market. The exchange-regulated "Third Market" is perfectly suited as a first step on the Vienna Stock Exchange and also promotes the further development of companies on the domestic capital market.

Accelerating Sustainable Finance Initiative and the Green Finance Cluster Frankfurt of the Ministry of Economic Affairs for Hesse announced their merger on Wednesday. In the future, all activities pursued by the two initiatives will continue as a joint effort under the name Sustainable Finance Cluster. The aim is to make greater efficient use of financial market expertise in the area of sustainable finance, based on broad dialogue and, most importantly, to develop and implement specific approaches to ensure the sustainability of national and international financial market structures in the future.

Total trading volume in the first quarter has reached 77,990,836 contracts, marking a 50% year-on-year growth, while the average daily trading volume has amounted to 1,344,773 contracts, a year-on-year growth of 48%.
