Moscow Exchange Offers A New Gauge RUSFAR To Evaluate Secured Funding

On 18 April 2019, Moscow Exchange presented a new money market benchmark tracking the value of secured money – the Russian Secured Funding Average Rate (RUSFAR). The new gauge is calculated based on CCP-cleared repo transactions in general collateral certificates (GCC), which is now the most widely traded segment on the Russian money market.

U.S. Agencies Invite Comment On Modifications To Resolution Plan Requirements; Proposal Keeps Existing Requirements For Largest Firms And Reduces Requirements For Firms With Less Risk

The Federal Reserve Board and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation on Tuesday invited public comment on a proposal modifying their resolution plan requirements for large banking firms. The proposal would keep existing resolution plan expectations in place for the largest firms, while reducing requirements for smaller firms that pose less risk.

Landmark Bill Protects European Whistleblowers Against Retaliation

Thanks to a directive enacted Tuesday by the European Parliament, whistleblowers in the European Union (“EU”) will soon have safe channels to report violations of the law. This is the first time that the EU has taken meaningful action to protect whistleblowers. Until now, witnesses to crime inside the workplace have had little protection against retaliation by their employers and thus have been deterred from notifying law enforcement. The directive will go into effect once approved by EU ministers; member countries will then be charged with implementing it.

Polymetal Becomes First Foreign Issuer To List On The Astana International Exchange

Astana International Exchange (“AIX”) is pleased to announce that on 17 April 2019 ordinary shares (the “Shares”) of Polymetal International Plc (“Polymetal”) have been listed. Polymetal shares will be traded under the ticker POLY with quotation and settlement in US dollars, and will be fully fungible between LSE, MOEX and AIX. Trading in shares on the AIX is expected to commence on 24 April 2019.
