The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has prohibited former Martins Brokers (UK) Ltd (‘Martins’) broker Terry Farr from performing any function in relation to any regulated financial activity, on the basis that he acted dishonestly and lacked integrity, and as a result is not fit and proper to perform any function in relation to any regulated activity.

The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has further considered the impact of the United Kingdom (UK) leaving the European Union (EU) without a withdrawal agreement (no-deal Brexit) on the trading obligation for shares (STO) under Article 23 of MiFIR1 and in the absence of an equivalence decision in respect of the UK by the European Commission (EC).
