Tokyo Commodity Exchange: Suspension Of Night Session Trading On The Business Day Preceding The Product Transfer Date

The Tokyo Commodity Exchange, Inc. (“TOCOM”) plans to transfer a part of commodity futures and options products to the Osaka Exchange, Inc. on Monday, July 27, 2020. Due to operational reasons, TOCOM will suspend the night session trading on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 (the clearing period of Monday, July 27, 2020) in accordance with the Article 8 (Temporary Opening and Closing of Session) of the Market Rules.

Shanghai International Energy Exchange has released its Circular on the Delivery Issues of SC2008 as follows:
The last trading day for the crude oil futures contract SC2008 is July 31, 2020, and the delivery dates are from August 3 to August 7, 2020. Accordingly, Shanghai International Energy Exchange (hereinafter referred to as “the Exchange”) hereby notifies issues concerning delivery as follows:
1. In accordance with the Article 142 of the Delivery Rules of Shanghai International Energy Exchange, a natural person as a client shall close out all the positions of SC2008 before the market close on July 21, 2020.

BNP Paribas Asset Management Survey Shows Covid-19 Prompts Rise In Social Considerations Within Investment Decision-Making

BNP Paribas Asset Management (‘BNPP AM’) reveals key findings of its study on the importance of ESG criteria for investors in the Covid-19 environment:
- ESG has become an even greater focus for 23% of respondents: 81% of respondents already employ ESG in all or part of their portfolios and a further 16% plan to do so
- Clear emergence of the importance of social considerations highlighted by an increase of 20 percentage points since the onset of Covid-19
- 79% of respondents cite social considerations as having a positive impact on long-term investment performance and risk management
- However, there are significant barriers to investing with consideration to social factors: 42% of respondents highlight lack of established standard metrics
