- What is the Brexit Adjustment Reserve
The Brexit Adjustment Reserve will provide support to Member States, regions and sectors, in particular those that are worst affected by the adverse consequences of the withdrawal of the UK from the Union, mitigating thus its impact on economic, social and territorial cohesion. It will contribute to specific measures set up by the Member States to help businesses and economic sectors, workers, regions and local communities suffering from the impact of the end of transition period.

Borsa Istanbul: Periodic Review For The BIST-KYD Corporate Eurobond Indices For The Period January-March 2021 Has Been Finalized

In accordance with the article 3.3. of BIST-KYD Indices Ground Rules, periodic review for the BIST-KYD Corporate Eurobond Indices for the period January-March 2021 (January 1, 2021 – March 31, 2021) has been finalized. According to the results of the periodic review, the Eurobonds whose issue information are given below, will be included in BIST-KYD Corporate Eurobond USD and BIST-KYD Corporate Eurobond USD (TRY) Indices.

Brexit: The European Commission Proposes The Creation Of A Brexit Adjustment Reserve

The European Commission has put forward today its proposal for a Brexit Adjustment Reserve, as agreed by the European Council in July, to help counter the adverse economic and social consequences – at the end of the transition period on 31 December 2020 - in the Member States and sectors that are worst affected. It will have an overall budget of €5 billion. The Reserve will support businesses and employment in affected sectors. It will assist regions and local communities, including those dependent on fishing activities in UK waters. It can also assist public administrations for the proper functioning of border, customs, sanitary and phytosanitary controls and to ensure essential services to the citizens and companies affected.

HKEX Announces Stock Connect Expansion Arrangements

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) is pleased to announce today (Friday) that its wholly-owned subsidiary, The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (SEHK), has reached an agreement with Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) and Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE) on the Stock Connect inclusion arrangements for eligible pre-revenue biotech companies listed in Hong Kong, as well as for eligible A-shares listed on the SSE’s Sci-Tech Innovation Board (STAR Market).

Japan Financial Services Agency: Establishment Of The “Expert Panel On Sustainable Finance”

1.Summary
In order to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, creating a virtuous cycle between the economy and the environment is an agenda which should be worked on with a whole of government approach. Japanese companies have advanced technologies and potential contributing to decarbonisation. To ensure more foreign and domestic investments addressed to the related efforts by Japanese companies, it is important that financial institutions as well as financial and capital markets fulfill their functions appropriately. In this context, the FSA will establish the “Expert Panel on Sustainable Finance” to discuss possible issues and policy approach.
