    The New York Stock Exchange today released its weekly program-trading data submitted by its member firms. The report includes trading in all markets as reported to the NYSE for Jan. 18-21. This included program trading associated with the Jan. 21 monthly expiration of stock-index options and futures.

  • NASD Board Approves Limit Order Pilot Protection Program For the OTC Bulletin Board

    The National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc. (NASDĀ®), today announced that its Board has approved a pilot program that will provide protection to investors who place limit orders for some OTC Bulletin BoardĀ® (OTCBB) securities. If approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the program will require Market Makers in a select group of OTCBB securities to execute customer limit orders before trading for their own accounts.

    The Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (KLSE) has appointed two members to its committee. The two members are: Encik Abang Zainal Abidin bin Abang Ahmad, Executive Director, UPEN Securities Sdn Bhd and Encik Johari bin Hassan, Executive Director, PJB Pacific Sdn Bhd. The appointments are made to fill vacancies from amongst the elected committee members of the KLSE, and will take effect from 1 February 2000 and end on 31 December 2000.

  • CME To List Five- And Ten-Year Agency Note Futures And Options Contracts

    The Chicago Mercantile Exchange today announced plans to list new contracts designed to meet the demand for products tied to the growing market for securities issued by the nation's largest home lending agencies. Commodity Futures Trading Commission approval to list the new contracts will be sought shortly.

    The Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (KLSE) wishes to announce the following closure dates:- Tuesday, 1 February 2000 in conjunction with Federal Territory Day. The Exchange and its subsidiaries will resume operations on Wednesday, 2 February 2000, Friday, 4 February 2000 & Monday, 7 February 2000 in conjunction with Chinese New Year. The Exchange and its subsidiaries will resume operations on Tuesday, 8 February 2000.

  • SGX MSCI Taiwan Index Futures Breaks Volume And Open Interest Records Again

    The Singapore Exchange Derivatives Trading Limited (SGX-DT) is pleased to announce that the daily trading volume of its MSCI Taiwan Index futures contract has chalked up a record volume of 27,780 contracts. The previous daily high of 25,824 contracts was traded on 25 June 1999. The MSCI Taiwan Index futures open interest also hit a record high of 34,349 contracts yesterday surpassing the previous record of 30,930 contracts traded on 27 December 1999.
