Copenhagen Stock Exchange: New KFX Portfolio As From 18 December 2000

The future base and active portfolios of the KFX Index have now been selected. Navision will leave the KFX index and i-data international A/S and Jyske Bank A/S will join the Index. The new portfolios take effect on Monday 18 December 2000, i.e. on the first trading day following the KFX expiration date, Friday 15 December 2000.

CME Trading Volume In October Rises 23 Percent As Globex®2 Volume Surpasses 4 Million, A 128 Percent Increase - Equity Index Products Set New All-Time Record

Volume of trading on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) in October rose 23.1 percent above year-ago levels to nearly 20 million contracts, while electronically traded volume on the CME’s GLOBEX®2 system reached 4,050,332, representing a 128 percent increase over October 1999.

CBOT Nominating Committee Slates Brennan For 2-Yr. Chairman Term

David P. Brennan was nominated by the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT®) Nominating Committee as a candidate in the exchange’s annual election to serve as Chairman of the Board. 410 Billion Euros In Turnover On The German Stock Exchanges In October - New Xetra Record In MDAX, SDAX And Neuer Markt Stocks

A total volume of 410.5 billion euros was traded in equities, warrants and fixed-income securities on the German stock exchanges in October. This corresponds to an increase of about 22 percent over the previous year’s figure (336.75 billion euros in October 1999). The total comprises about 320 billion euros in equities, warrants and exchange-traded funds, and 90.7 billion euros in fixed-income securities. EEX: 390,000 Megawatt Hours Of Electricity Traded In October - Million-Hour Mark Already Exceeded In Third Month

EEX, the European Energy Exchange, reported its turnover figures for October on Tuesday. EEX reported a monthly volume of 390,354 Megawatt Hours (MWh) of electricity. This is represents a slight increase compared to last months figures (377,668 MWh). After only three months of operation, EEX topped the million-hour mark in electricity trading with a total of 1,048,015 MWh traded by the end of October.

CBOT: Deferment Of Electronic Order Routing Firm Mandate

The electronic order routing agricultural and financial firm mandate implementation scheduled for November 1, 2000 is postponed due to recent order routing system stability issues which are being addressed. Additionally, the Exchange requires more time to meet the overwhelming demand for COMETs and Electronic Clerks as the trading community dramatically increased its adoption of order routing.

Palm, Inc. (Nasdaq:PALM), of Santa Clara, California, will become a component of the Nasdaq-100 Index®, effective at the beginning of trading Monday, November 6, 2000.
