Charles Vermeulen Appointed Director Of AEX-Information Technology B.V.

Charles Vermeulen (57) has been appointed interim director of AEX-Information Technology B.V. with effect from May 4. Mr Vermeulen, who is currently employed at CMG, is taking over the responsibilities of Jan Willem van Doorn. The management of AEX-Information Technology B.V. will focus on preparing the company for the merger of the Amsterdam, Brussels and Paris exchanges. CBOE Announces Reorganization / Promotions

Chicago Board Options Exchange Chairman and CEO William J. Brodsky today announced a major reorganization stemming from the previously announced retirement of long time President Charles J. Henry and the promotion of Edward J. Joyce to succeed Henry as the Exchange's President and Chief Operating Officer as of July 1, 2000.

The Copenhagen Stock Exchange had expected the financial consequences of a transfer of derivatives from ELECTRA to CLICK and SAXESS, and clearing via SECUR or FOCS instead of the FUTOP system to be apparent at the Board's meeting on 9 May 2000, so that the future of the FUTOP market could be determined.

SGX-DT To Provide Market Depth Information To Investors

Singapore Exchange Derivatives Trading Limited (SGX-DT) has announced that futures investors will be able to access market-depth information through data vendors from 8 May 2000. This means that investors can now gain access to information on the three best bid / offer futures prices and volume of derivatives contracts traded on the SGX ETS (Electronic Trading System).

LIFFE's financial options have made a successful transfer from open outcry to electronic trading, recording an average daily volume of over 94,000 contracts since their migration to LIFFE CONNECT™ on Tuesday 2 May 2000, compared with an average daily volume of 68,500 in April, an increase of 37%.
