    The London International Financial Futures and Options Exchange (LIFFE) had its busiest November ever with a total volume of 25 million futures and options contracts, an increase of 130% on November 2000. Average daily volume for the month was 1.15 million. Volumes for the first eleven months are 67% up on 2000.

    November was the busiest month in Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc.'s (CME) 103-year history, with a record 45.3 million contracts traded, surpassing the previous monthly volume record of 40.3 million contracts set in September.
