Winnipeg Commodity Exchange Inc. October 2002 Futures And Options Contracts Witness More Traditional Trading Levels

Canola trade remained relatively active during the month, with monthly trade totaling 159,199 contracts compared to the 184,945 contracts traded in the same month one year earlier. Open interest levels in canola futures as of October 31, 2002 declined 23.6% compared to one year ago.

Winnipeg Commodity Exchange Inc. Feed Wheat Futures Contract Revised (Effective With The July 2003 Contract)

Changes have been made to the WCE feed wheat futures contract specifications to more accurately reflect the underlying cash market. The most significant change is the introduction of a maximum deliverable vomitoxin level of 0.5 ppm (as opposed to the old contract specification of maximum 2.0% fusarium).

(formerly The Toronto Stock Exchange Inc.) and TSX Group Inc. announced today that they have entered into an underwriting agreement, and TSX Group Inc. has filed its final supplemented prospectus with the securities regulatory authorities in each of the provinces and territories of Canada, in connection with TSX Group Inc.'s initial public offering of 18,978,238 common shares at a price of $18.00 per share. SEC Proposes Rules To Implement Sarbanes-Oxley Act Provisions Concerning Standards Of Professional Conduct For Attorneys

The Securities and Exchange Commission voted today to propose rules implementing provisions of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act that prescribe "minimum standards of professional conduct for attorneys appearing and practicing before the Commission in any way in the representation of issuers." The standards must include a rule requiring an attorney to report "evidence of a material violation of securities laws or breach of fiduciary duty or similar violation by the company or any agent thereof" to the chief

OneChicago To Trade Futures On DIAMONDS

OneChicago, LLC today announced that it has signed a license agreement with Dow Jones & Co., Inc. enabling OneChicago to offer futures contracts on the DIAMONDS exchange-traded fund (DIA). OneChicago intends to offer DIAMONDS futures subsequent to its launch on Nov. 8, pending regulatory approval.
