Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. has announced today that Mr. Atsuo Nishihara, Managing Director and Executive Officer in charge of International Affairs and Special Issues, will resign from its board of directors effective March 31, 2003.

Philadelphia Stock Exchange Announces February Volume - "Only Floor-Based Options Exchange To Increase Market Share In February"

The Philadelphia Stock Exchange (PHLX) announced today that for the month of February, equity options volume totaled 6,457,466 contracts, an increase of 4.15% when compared to the same month last year when 6,200,295 contracts traded. The PHLX was the only floor-based options exchange to increase market share for the month of February. PHLX market share in February was 12.94%, up from the previous month's market share of 12.44%, and up from the same year-ago period when market share was 11.20%.

Peter Coym Elected As New Chairman Of Eurex Exchange Council - Linz Replaces

The Exchange Council of Eurex Deutschland elected Peter Coym as its new chairman on Wednesday, the world's leading derivatives exchange reported on Wednesday. Peter Coym, member of the Executive Board of Lehman Brothers Bankhaus AG, Frankfurt and vice-chairman of the council, succeeds Leonhard Fischer, who had resigned from the council as of October 31, 2002, the same date on which Fischer left the firm he was representing on the council, Dresdner Bank AG.

Organizational Changes To Increase OM's Market Presence

With the aim to increase profitability and to further strengthen OM's five business areas, OM changes its organization. Effective March 1, the four business areas within OM's technology operations will be strengthened with resources to manage sales and customer responsibility. This is the next step following the organizational changes OM announced at the beginning of February 2003.

Options Based On Fixed Income ETFs To Trade On The American Stock Exchange Amex to Trade Options On iShares GS $ InvesTop Corporate Bond Fund

The American Stock Exchange (Amex) today announced it will launch trading on the first options based on Fixed Income ETFs, the latest generation of exchange traded funds. Options based on the underlying shares of iShares GS $ InvesTop Corporate Bond Fund (Symbol: LQD) will begin trading on Thursday, March 6.

New Records In CBOT Swaps Futures

March is "coming in like a lion" for the Interest Rate swap futures at the CBOT. On March 4, the 10-Year Swap future had record open interest of 48,237 on trading volume of 19,147. Not to be outdone, the 5-year Swap future traded a record 4306 contracts to bring open interest up to 5592.

João Freixa To head Euronext Lisbon And Join Euronext NV's Managing Board

Following Mr. Manuel Alves Monteiro's resignation, Mr. João Freixa has been nominated by Euronext NV and the Board of Directors of Euronext Lisbon as CEO of Euronext's Portuguese subsidiary, Euronext Lisbon. This appointment is subject to regulatory approval of the Portuguese regulator, CMVM.
