Details On CME Observance Of Anniversary of September 11

WHAT First Anniversary of September 11 Chicago Mercantile Exchange, Inc. (CME) will observe the first anniversary of 9/11 with modified trading hours and a ceremony including a U.S. Marine Corps clor guard, the singing of "God Bless America" by Chicago vocalist Wayne Messmer, and brief remarks and a special bell-ringing by exchange Chairman Terry Duffy. Minutes of silence will also be observed on the Trading Floor at 7:46 a.m. and 9:29 a.m. (Central time)

TSX Remembers Victims Of September 11th

On Wednesday, September 11th, 2002 the TSX Group will hold a remembrance ceremony in Stock Market Place to remember all who died following the terrorist attacks on New York City and Washington last year. Many of these were Canadians who were employed in the financial sector and American colleagues who worked closely with our brokerage community.

NYSE Opening Bell On 9/11 To Follow Memorial Service

On Sept. 11, the New York Stock Exchange will open for trading 30 minutes after the conclusion of the memorial service being held at the World Trade Center site, but not before 11 a.m. Should the event last longer than its anticipated 10:29 a.m. conclusion, the NYSE will delay its opening beyond 11 a.m. The Exchange will announce the exact timing of the opening bell following conclusion of the memorial service.
