Nymex Announces More Than 100 Transactions Posted To NYMEX ClearPort<SUP>sm</SUP> Clearing Site Today

The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., announced that 125 off-Exchange transactions were posted for clearing today through the NYMEX ClearPortsm clearing website, the first time more than 100 transactions in a single day were posted on the system.

Euronext.liffe's Cocoa options contract reached a new Open Interest record of 52,681 lots on Thursday 20 February breaking the previous record of 52,665 lots set on 30 April 2002.

CME Announces March 3 Launch For CME$INDEX Futures And Options

Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) today announced a launch date of Monday, March 3, 2003, at 8:00 a.m. (Central time) for its new CME$INDEX™, a geometric index of seven foreign currencies. CME announced the launch date at the Managed Funds Association's Network 2003 conference in Miami.

CBOT® Offers Fee Waiver & Extends Electronic Trading Hours For Its Mini-Sized Metal Futures

To enhance the volume and liquidity in the exchange's metals complex, the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) today announced it will waive all member and non-member exchange transaction fees for CBOT mini-sized Gold and mini-sized Silver futures for three months beginning March 3, 2003. In conjunction with the CBOT, the Board of Trade Clearing Corporation (BOTCC) also will offer a three-month fee waiver for CBOT mini-sized Gold and Silver futures contracts.

Cairo And Alexandria Stock Exchanges: New CASE 30 Price Index

As of 31/1/2003 the Cairo & Alexandria Stock Exchanges (CASE) will discontinue the CASE 50 Price & Total Return Indices. The exchange will calculate only one index, CASE 30 Price Index, starting 2nd February 2003. CASE 30 is a free float market capitalization index that will be reviewed twice a year (January and June) by a committee at CASE, which will make the required changes (additions and removals of the companies included in the CASE 30). The new index will be retroactively computed
