Executive Vice President of The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) Mrs. Patareeya Benjapolchai announced that the SET Board of Governors has approved, in principle, to set up an Investor Protection Fund (IPF) to secure investors’ assets deposited at securities firms. Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes to the S&P SmallCap 600 Index after the close of trading Thursday, July 15, 2004: S&P SmallCap 600 components Belden Inc. (NYSE:BWC) and Cable Design Technologies (NYSE:CDT) are merging in a transaction anticipated to close on or about that date, pending shareholder approval. The merged company, Belden CDT Inc. Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index after the close of trading on Thursday, July 8, 2004: The shareholders of Laniuk Industries Inc. (TSXVN:LII) have approved a plan of arrangement whereby the company will be converted into an income trust called TerraVest Income Fund (TSX:TI.UN). Laniuk Industries Inc. will be removed from the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index.
