CBOT to Increase Promotion of Exchange's Marketprofile

The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT), the world's oldest derivatives marketplace, today launched a new section of www.cbot.com to feature information on and promote the exchange's marketprofilesm decision support tool. The site also features a new marketprofilesm logo, slogan and banner advertisements, all designed to increase promotion of this product and the benefits it provides to market participants.

The CBOT® 30-Day Federal Funds futures contract for December 2002 was cash settled January 2, 2003 at a final settlement price of 98.762, for an average overnight effective rate of 1.238 percent during the delivery month.

Another New Open Interest Record For NYBOT's World Sugar Futures Contract

The New York Board of Trade (NYBOT®) announced today that its Sugar No. 11 futures contract set another new open interest record on December 31, 2002, of 222,585 contracts. The new record replaces the previous futures open interest high of 221,913 contracts set on December 20, 2002.

The total trade value in 2002 reached CZK 1,793.1 bil. which represents a 9.8% decrease in comparison with the record 2001 trade value CZK 1,987.2 bil. Above all the lower trade value on the market of bonds took a share in decline of the total trade value. The trade value in bonds reached the value of CZK 1,595.7 bil. and represents decline by 14.1% on 2001. Standard & Poor's Announces Changes in the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index

Standard & Poor's will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index: After the close of trading on Tuesday, December 31, 2002, Thundelarra Exploration Ltd. (TSXVN:TLX) will be removed from the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index. The shares of the company will be delisted from the exchange but will continue to trade on the Australian Stock Exchange.

S&P Announces Annual Weightings Changes For The S&P Hedge Fund Index

In accordance with its published methodology, Standard & Poor's announced today the rebalancing of the S&P Hedge Fund Index and the associated sub-indices - Arbitrage, Event-Driven and Directional/Tactical. All indices will be rebalanced to reflect equal weighting. The changes will take effect after the close of trading January 2, 2003. The index calculations using the new weightings will be reported on Standard & Poor's website,
