S&P Emerging Markets Database Index Announcements: Korea – Exclusion Of Telson Electronics From Index Coverage (eff. 08/09/2004)

S&P EMDB will exclude Telson Electronics (SPID 542849.1/ Sedol 6108748), an S&P/IFCI and S&P/IFCG Index constituent, effective at the close of business on August 9, 2004. The stock will be delisted from the KOSDAQ Stock Exchange from August 10. The company has been in bankruptcy proceedings.

OneChicago, LLC today announced that 85,772 security futures contracts traded at the Exchange in July. Open interest stood at 122,055 contracts July 30. Each single stock futures contract is equivalent to 100 shares of the underlying stock or exchange-traded fund.

July Volume Up 14% At CBOE - Pace Of Year-To-Date Volume Remains Brisk

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) announced today that July volume totaled 28,231,303 contracts traded, an increase of 14% over the July 2003 volume of 24,727,786 contracts. Through the end of July, CBOE's year-to-date volume of nearly 209 million contracts traded is 31% ahead of 2003's pace.

Cash products 10.2 million transactions were registered on Euronext’s cash markets in July 2004, bringing the total number of transactions since the beginning of the year to 84.5 million. A daily average of 567,000 transactions were completed in the year-to-date.<
