The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced a settled enforcement action against Massachusetts Financial Services Co. (MFS), its chief executive officer John W. Ballen, and its president and chief equity officer Kevin R. Parke, for violating federal securities laws by allowing widespread market timing trading in certain MFS mutual funds in contravention of those funds' public disclosures.

GL TRADE Reports 2003 Turnover Of €128.1m, Stable With Respect To 2002 (-0.6%). At Constant Scope And Exchange Rates, Turnover Grew By 2.4%.

In 2003, GL TRADE was badly hit by negative currency effects arising from movements in sterling, the US dollar and Asian currencies, since 43% of turnover (excluding acquisitions) came from subsidiaries outside the euro zone. Currency effects dragged pre-acquisition consolidated turnover down by 5.3% in 2003.
