    As part of its growth strategy for options, CME, the largest futures exchange in the U.S., today announced it will launch new equity options on E-mini™ NASDAQ-100® futures contracts – a smaller sized, electronically traded version of CME’s standard NASDAQ-100 futures, which track the NASDAQ-100 Index. E-mini NASDAQ-100 equity options contracts will be listed for trading at 5:00 p.m., Central Time, on Sunday, Nov. 21, 2004.

    The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (Commission) approved the application of the Chicago Climate Futures Exchange, L.L.C., (CCFE) for designation as a contract market on November 9, 2004. CCFE is a Delaware limited liability company whose sole member is the Chicago Climate Exchange, Inc. (CCX). CCX also separately operates an exempt commercial market.     In advance of this week's Federal Open Market Committee meeting on November 10, the Chicago Board of Trade will be reporting daily rate change probabilities in the FOMC's federal funds target rate, as indicated by the CBOT® 30-Day Federal Funds futures contract. The CBOT 30-Day Federal Funds futures contract is a key benchmark interest rate barometer that reflects the forward overnight effective rate for excess reserves that are traded among commercial banks in the U.S. federal funds market.
