Since the transfer to SAXESS in 1999, the Danish equity market has seen a significant improvement in liquidity. This is not least due to the fact that there are many more orders in the trading system and the fact that investors are able to trade at even sharper prices.

Euronext Revenues Total € 245.5 Million: In Line With The Company Forecast For Summer Activity

Euronext NV revenues totaled €245.5 mn during the third quarter of 2003, a 3.3% decrease from the €254.0mn achieved during the same period in 2002. Quarterly revenues were affected by the reduced market activity in July and August despite stronger trading in September. Adverse foreign exchange rate accounts for €6.0mn; with constant exchange rates the variation in revenue would have been less than 1% over the period.

EuroMTS To Launch Dedicated Greek Market

EuroMTS today announced the November 17 launch of the MTS Greek Market, a segment dedicated to the trading of Greek government bonds. The launch completes the presence of MTS markets in all 11 eurozone bond markets, thereby strengthening MTS' network as the most comprehensive system to trade European fixed-income.

Winnipeg Commodity Exchange October Volume Posts Gains From Month Ago And Year Ago Levels

The combined trading volume futures and options for October 2003 rose 30.1% from a year ago and 84.2% from September 2003. There were 243,371 futures contracts and 9,096 options contracts traded during the month. Futures trade was up 26.8%, while options volume gained 327.2% compared to October 2002.

Winnipeg Commodity Exchange Focus On Canola Futures

Canola futures prices at the Winnipeg Commodity Exchange (WCE) rose sharply higher during the month of October on heavy trading volume (see reverse side). The November futures contract broke out of a six month trading range to close out the month of October at $375.20 per tonne. While this is off the monthly high of $388.90 set on October 29, it is well above the contract low of $331.00 per tonne set in July 2003. However, the November contract is still trading below the contract high of $394.50
