The Commission announced that a Massachusetts federal court has entered a final judgment against Guillermo Garcia Simon, a former FleetBoston Financial Group employee residing in Buenes Aires, Argentina, in connection with his trading in the securities of FleetBoston in advance of the announcement of its acquisition by Bank of America Corporation. S&P Emerging Markets Database Index Announcement - South Africa- IWF Change for Telkom South Africa (Eff. 07/08/2004)

Effective July 8, 2004, S&P EMDB will increase the IWF for Telkom South Africa (S&P/EMDB Code 696648.1 / SEDOL 6588577), an S&P/IFCI and S&P/IFCG Index constituent, from 0.3070 to 0.4560. The new IWF reflects Thintana‘s sale of 14.9% of their stake in the Telkom South Africa. If the above IWF change had occurred on June 23, 2004, the weight of Telkom South Africa in the S&P/IFCI Indonesia Index would have increased to 2.97% from 2.00%.
