Deutsche Börse Launches New Strategy Index: Daxplus Export Strategy - New Strategy Index For Strong Exporters On The DAX® And MDAX® - Index Launch On 24 October

On 24 October, Deutsche Börse will launch a new strategy index, DAXplus® Export Strategy. The index lists the ten strongest exporters on the DAX and MDAX, measured by the share of revenues generated outside of Germany. DAXplus Export Strategy is the third index in Deutsche Börse’s strategy index family, following DivDAX® and DAXplus Seasonal Strategy.

CBOE To Launch Mini-SPX Index Options On Tuesday, October 25, 2005

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) will launch Mini-SPX options, based on the Standard & Poor's 500 Stock Index, on Tuesday, October 25, 2005, as previously announced. Mini-SPX options (ticker symbol XSP) will be 1/10th the value of the S&P 500 Index, and will trade on CBOE's Hybrid 2.0 Trading System, which includes Remote Market Makers. The American Stock Exchange (Amex) member and non-member organizations today reported short interest of 888,130,712 shares as of the October 14, 2005 settlement date, an increase of 39,283,593 from the 848,847,119 (adjusted) shares reported in mid-September. The October figure represents trades through October 11, 2005.
