Mrs. Nongram Wongwanich, the President of the Thailand Securities Depository Co. Ltd. (TSD), said that to encourage investors to be more aware of tax planning and long-term savings from mid-year onwards, the TSD has joined with the SET and the ‘Let Your Money Work Through Mutual Funds’ project to organize the “Enjoy Tax Privileges Today with LTFs” seminars, to be held July 1 - 3, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the SET building on Rachadapisek Road.
Securities Industry Association President Lackritz’s Statement On The SEC’s Mutual Fund Board Of Directors Rule

Securities Industry Association President Marc E. Lackritz today called on the Securities and Exchange Commission to be thorough and circumspect in reviewing its rule requiring mutual funds to have independent chairmen. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit recently instructed the SEC to reexamine the rule, stating the commission did not provide a realistic estimate of the costs of implementation or adequately explore alternatives to the rule.

Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes in the S&P Europe 350, S&P Europe Plus, S&P Euro and S&P United Kingdom Indices effective at the close of trading Wednesday, June 29, 2005: Rexam PLC (United Kingdom, SEDOL 0425045, GICS: Materials, GICS Code: 15103010) will replace Telecom Italia Mobile SPA (Italy, SEDOL 4876746) in the S&P Europe 350 index and will be added in the S&P United Kingdom index, after the close of trading on Wednesday, June 29, 2005.
