  • June 2005 Biggest Volume Month In NYBOT’s 135-Year History

    The month of June 2005 was the busiest month ever for the New York Board of Trade â (NYBOT â ), with combined monthly trading volume reaching an unprecedented 3,878,067 contract s, surpassing the previous volume record of 3,611,479 futures and options contracts set in June 2004. At the half-way mark in 2005, the Exchange is now running 13.2% ahead of the first half of the record year of 2004. A total of 19,124,761 futures and options have been traded year-to-date (YTD).

  • ISE Reports Monthly Volume For June 2005

    The International Securities Exchange (NYSE: ISE) today reported equity options trading volume for June 2005. Average daily trading volume in equity options contracts increased 23.7% to 1.5 million contracts traded as compared to 1.2 million contracts traded in the same period in the prior year. Total equity options volume for the month increased 29.6% to 33.1 million contracts traded as compared to 25.5 million contracts traded in the same year-ago period.

  • Instinet Group Completes Sale Of Lynch, Jones & Ryan, Inc. To The Bank Of New York

    Instinet Group Incorporated (Nasdaq:INGP) ("Instinet Group"), the largest global electronic agency securities broker, announced today that it has completed the previously agreed sale of Lynch, Jones & Ryan, Inc. ("LJR"), an Instinet subsidiary, to The Bank of New York for $174 million in cash. The Bank of New York will operate LJR as a subsidiary of BNY Brokerage, Inc., its agency brokerage and a member of BNY Securities Group.
