NASD Fines 20 Firms $1.65 Million For Municipal Trade Reporting Violations - Majority Of Individual Fines Exceed Previous Record For MSRB Trade Reporting Violations

NASD announced today that it has censured and fined 20 securities firms a total of $1.65 million for late and/or inaccurate reporting of tens of thousands of municipal securities transactions to the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (MSRB). NASD is responsible for enforcing MSRB rules.

Kuwait Stock Exchange Trading Report For May 2005

The index of the Kuwait Stock Exchange reached 8,299.9 points at the end of May, a decrease of 351.3 points from the closing value at the end of April. The weighted index reached 419.06 points at the end of May, a decrease of 25.43 points from the closing value at the end of April.

HKEx Sets Date For Reduction Of Minimum Trading Spreads For Shares Trading Above $30 And Changes In AMS/3 Trading Parameters

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) will reduce minimum trading spreads for shares trading above $30 and change trading parameters of AMS/3, the Third Generation Automatic Order Matching and Execution System, on Monday, 4 July this year. Spreads for shares priced at or below $30 will remain the same.

Eight IPOs Join NYSE On June 28 And June 29, Raising $3.75 Billion In Proceeds

Today, four initial public offerings joined the roster of New York Stock Exchange listed companies, raising $1.45 billion in proceeds. Combined with yesterday’s four IPOs at the NYSE, which raised a total of $2.3 billion, eight new NYSE companies raised a total of $3.75 billion in proceeds in two days.

Change In Opening Time On NDX

As from July 1, 2005, there will be a one minute change in the opening on NDX. This time change will only effect the list named NDX in Tellus. The contracts it will effect are plain vanilla warrants, knock-outs, exotics and certificates.

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) welcomes the Financial Secretary's appointments of Chan Ka-lok, Fong Hup, Martin Wheatley and the reappointment of Eddie Yue as members of its Risk Management Committee (RMC). The two-year appointments, which were made under the Securities and Futures Ordinance, will take effect on 1 July 2005.
23 New Companies To Oslo Børs First Six Months

The first six months of 2005, the Board of Oslo Børs has resolved to admit shares in 23 companies to be listed. As of today, 20 of these companies are listed. Except for the first six months in 1997, Oslo Børs has never listed such a high number of companies within a six month period. The new companies represent a wide range of sectors, primarily energy, offshore, technology and finance.
