    The New York Composite Index (NYA) ended the year at 7753.95, up 7.0% from the last day of trading in 2004, outperforming all major U.S. indexes for the second consecutive year. In 2005, the NYA reached a new high of 7814.00 on Dec. 22, an increase of 7.8%. By comparison, the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) ended the year at 10717.50, down 0.6%. (Platinum), a former introducing broker (IB) and commodity trading advisor (CTA) located in Boca Raton, Florida, not to apply for NFA membership for ten years.     MSCI Barra, a leading provider of equity, fixed income and hedge fund indices, has announced the results of the January Quarterly Index Review of the MSCI Hedge Invest Index, its hedge fund index containing funds with weekly liquidity. As a result of this quarterly review, the number of constituent funds in the index will increase to 131 from 125 currently. Changes resulting from the review will be implemented in the MSCI Hedge Invest Index as of the close of January 3, 2006.
